This report presents the harmonic analysis results for a 0.5 Watt LED bulb tested using the THDPM-1 Total Harmonics Distortion Power Meter.
| Parameter | Value |
|---|---|
| Device Under Test | 0.5 Watt LED Bulb |
| Testing Equipment | THDPM-1 |
| Input Voltage | 230V AC |
| Frequency | 50Hz |
| Test Duration | 5 minutes |
| Parameter | Measured Value |
|---|---|
| Voltage (V) | 228.5 V |
| Current (A) | 0.018 A |
| Power (W) | 0.48 W |
| Power Factor (PF) | 0.92 |
| Frequency (Hz) | 50.2 Hz |
| Voltage THD (%VTHD) | 1.2% |
| Current THD (%ITHD) | 68.5% |
The harmonic analysis shows significant current harmonics, which is typical for low-power LED bulbs due to their switching power supplies.
The graph above shows the harmonic spectrum up to the 55th harmonic order. Notice the prominent 3rd, 5th, and 7th harmonics which are characteristic of switching power supplies.
According to IEC 61000-3-2 standards for lighting equipment:
The 0.5 Watt LED bulb tested meets the harmonic current emission requirements for its class. The high current THD is expected for switching power supplies in LED bulbs and does not indicate a defect.
